Little Earth Covai Retirement Community Opens Admissions!

Now, daughters can pamper their parents!

Now, daughters can pamper their parents!

Yesterday, I found an answer for the toughest question girls ask me.

"Ravi, can you suggest some good project for my parents?," these girls ask me.

"You must be married. Right?,' I say.

"Yes!," the girl say.

"Unfair! A husband can invite his parents to stay with him - but a wife can't. Right?," I say.

"Yes, that's the problem! I saw one at Pirangut. It fits in my budget," the girl says.

"Pirangut? Why? Where do you stay?," I ask.

"Wakad. But Wakad is beyond our budget," the girls says.

"But, Pirangut is good only if you want to punish your parents! No urban infrastructure - you know that right?," I ask.

"Yes, that's why I called you," the girl says.

"If you can't afford - don't invite them to Pune. Pune is no more pensioners' city. Now, it's your city - IT professionals city," I say.

"I am their only girl. My bro is in USA. If not me then who will look after them? I should have thought about this before marrying my husband!," the girl says.

"Now, you want to eat the cake & have it too - right?" I ask.

"Yes! The cake is very delicious!!," the girl says.

Then, we go ahead and discuss many projects. But the conversation ends without any conclusion. On a sad note.

After visiting the launch of Little Earth Covai Retirement Community at Kiwale, I realized that now, I know how a married daughter can pamper her parents and enjoy her cake too!

  1. Seems builders either want young buyers to take loan & buy flat & keep paying EMI to bank till they become senior citizens while those who did or didn't did this should give their earnings to builder when they are senior citizens. So young or old, people should give their money to builder for high priced flats located at remote location.

60L+ for a 2.5 BHK flat in a location which has zero activity outside the compound wall of project. Does the builder expect senior citizen to remain confined within the compound wall of project ? Remote location, high price. Such projects should be simply called multi-storied vruddhasharam based at remote location.

Isn't it better, cheaper & easier to shift to tier-3 cities & stay there in good location with less traffic, less pollution & at cheaper cost say like Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur ? Senior citizens get more exemption on income tax, higher interest rates on FDs so staying here makes even better choice financially too as earning is more & expenses are less.

Since builders are unable to sell their regular flats, they have set their eyes on senior citizens now.

One of my good friend settled in Sydney, Australia came to India last year with his wife & took his parents to Sydney after his father retired as a scientist & he hated to sit idle. Now his father works as a professor in Sydney & is happy to stay with his complete family. I really feel proud of my friend who was average in studies, has very good career in Australia & turned out to be very good son.

Shame on those children (boys) who let their parents stay in vruddhashrams including such multi-storied ones. They may be successful as engineer, doctor or whatever but certainly a big failure as a son.

  2. Ravi r u trying to pamper IWS women buyers? Rn't u marketing for ur friend by comparing kiwale wid pirangut.
Basically any service that is auxiliary never lasts long. I mean builder job is to build, he shouldn't fall into providing other services if one does so loses the core business control finally it turns into shit. How worth is that location at such high price is out of thought.
In ur earlier article u targeted particular caste, which is true but my observation is that all community people who setteled in pune from tier 3 , 4 cities are following same suite. Many of are having 3, 4 flats and r nt yet content and ready to invest still.
It may b that thr is no other good investment option available or same old mentality of property addiction.

  3. No sane person would want their parents to live in such an environment. This would make them even more sick. In old age they need to be kept close to family.
