The Institute of Urban Designers India (IUDI) launches its Pune regional chapter

"The institute will play the role of a social activist, participating in the planning, policy making and monitoring process of the infrastructure development of the city. We will not only render valuable guidance to local government organisations, but also invite public participation on major issues," KT Ravindran (founder member, president, IUDI).
Members of the newly formed Pune chapter are architects and urban designers, who are actively participating in Pune's development process. "We are available for any consultation on subjects of our specialisation," said member of executive council (IUDI) Kiran Kalamdani, while representing the urban designers of the Pune centre.
