Not bad. In fact, better. Better than the thoughtless stupid ads of the projects launched by some new builders in Wakad and Kharadi.

This was my first reaction when - last weekend - i saw English ad not only in Pune City edition of Marathi Newspaper Sakal, but in it's all editions - including Baramati Today - appealing you to visit the website www.BestFloorPlanInPune.com and see the different options of 1.5 BHK, 2 BHK & 3 BHK Flats and cast your vote to choose the best floor plan.

This builder using not only newspaper ads - print media - but even radio and outdoor media - Out Of Home (OOH) - to motivate you to visit the website - is an interesting idea. As an advertising executive who has revolutionized Pune real estate advertising, and as an expert in online media - community building - social networking, i was curious about this initiative.

When i found out that my favorite builder and my ex-client has started this advertising and marketing initiative, i met him to know more. However, the builder told me that i should not mention his name in my blog!

"Why? After all this is an advertising and marketing initiative. On my blog you will get a free publicity. Plus, your brand name always attract more number of readers - so using your name would be good for me too!," i said.

"Ravi, publishing disclaimer is essential for this type of an advertising concept. But for us, this is not only an advertising and marketing initiative. For us, it's product research. Research to find out what type of a home property buyer wants. Research to find out the preferences, needs and expectations of home owners. We believe that we can construct better homes if we know what the property buyers want. Besides this online research, we are meeting property buyers - in person - to find out their views!," the builder said.

"I am impressed!," i said. To builders i offer my complements for free. But for my criticism - i charge on hourly basis. However, since this builder is my ex-client, i felt that he deserves my one criticism for free! I said, "If you want to know what the property buyers want, you should let them talk. To let them talk - you should create a space for "comments". Which is not there on your website."
