River bed dumping: 32 civic officials looked the other way

Probe panel names three zonal commissioners among those guilty


The inquiry committee set up by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to investigate the illegal dumping of debris into the river bed along the Sangamwadi-Sadalbaba Road has found 32 civic officials guilty for failing to take action.

In his confidential report, deputy municipal commissioner KC Karkar has held three zonal commissioners— Bhanudas Mane, Madan Adhari, Jeevan Sonawane — besides regional ward officers, health inspectors and other officials guilty. To read more, visit Abhay Khairnar - DNA
